GoDuro Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 26, 2026
GoDuro is simple work management for crews in the field, on job sites, around equipment, and across the property — construction, trades, farming, landscaping, fleets, property maintenance and similar work. It is used by a company's own staff to assign, track and complete daily work. This policy explains what information GoDuro collects and how it is used.
Most accounts are created by a company's own management. A company can also sign itself up for a trial, in which case the person who signs up becomes that company's manager and creates the rest of the accounts.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, login credentials, and assigned role (manager, supervisor, or worker).
- Work data: task titles, descriptions, categories, due dates, completion status, comments, equipment records, maintenance history and meter readings entered by you or your colleagues.
- Photos: photos you choose to attach to a task or a piece of equipment, stored in our backend storage.
- Location (optional): if you choose to attach a location to a task, that coordinate is stored with the task. GoDuro does not track where anyone is, and does not record a location unless somebody attaches one or clocks in or out.
- Time records: if your company uses the time clock, your clock-in and clock-out times, and a location at those two moments only.
- Push notification token: a device identifier used solely to deliver notifications to your device.
- Language preference: your selected display language. GoDuro supports English and Spanish. See "Translation" below.
How we use this information
Information is used only to operate GoDuro: assigning and tracking work, keeping equipment and maintenance records, displaying photos and comments to the right people, sending notifications, and taking backups of your company's data for recordkeeping.
Who can see your information
Work data, comments and photos are visible to your company's management and to colleagues in your company, as determined by your role and by the divisions you belong to. Some details — such as who created or completed a task — are visible only to management.
GoDuro support access
GoDuro operates a support account so we can help you set up your company and fix things when they go wrong. We would rather be exact about it than vague, because the limits below are enforced by our database and not merely promised by this policy.
- Your work stays private unless your company enables support access. Access to your tasks, photos, comments and hours has to be switched on by a manager in your company, in the app, under Settings → Privacy & support access. You choose 7 or 30 days, it ends by itself when the time is up, and you can end it sooner.
- We cannot grant it to ourselves. Permission to switch support access on belongs to your company's own accounts. The support account is not a member of your company and the database refuses the request.
- Your time records and finished work are off limits. The support account cannot edit or delete anyone's clocked hours and cannot alter a task once it has been completed. Those are your payroll and work records; a third party changing them would destroy their value as a record. Only your own management can correct them.
- Account changes are recorded where you can see them. Any change the support account makes to an account in your company is written to an audit log you can read in the app, on that same screen. Nobody can edit or delete that log, including us.
- Setup is the exception. So that we can help without waiting for permission every time, the support account can see and change your company's setup — its name, divisions, categories, equipment lists and user accounts. It cannot read your tasks, photos, comments or hours through this; that still needs the switch above.
Translation
GoDuro translates text on your device, so each person can read the work in their own language. Your tasks, comments and notes are not sent to an outside translation service. Two things do use the network, and we would rather say so: the language packs are downloaded once from Google to your device, and any document you upload to the reference library is processed on GoDuro's own server in order to read the text out of it.
Data sharing
We do not sell your information and we do not share it with advertisers. There are no advertising or analytics SDKs in the app. Your data is handled by our backend infrastructure provider (Supabase) in order to run the app, and notifications are delivered through Expo's push service, which passes them to Apple or to Google to reach your phone.
Data retention and deletion
Your information is kept for as long as your account is active. When a backup of your company's data is taken, backups are kept on a tiered schedule — daily backups for about a month, one backup a week for about three months, and one a month for about a year — and your management can change those settings.
Backups are a recordkeeping convenience, not a guarantee. We do not promise that any particular backup exists, is complete, or can be restored, and you should not rely on GoDuro as the only copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. Your company's management can take a backup at any time and can export your records from the app.
To request deletion of your account or your data, contact your company's management, or write to us at the address below.
